X/C® Aviation Multiviscosity Oils

X/C 20W-50 provides opposed piston engines improved performance than single grade oils. X/C 25W-60
X/C 25W-60 has much to offer the radial engines and other aviation piston engines originally designed to run on heavier grade oils. Pilots and mechanics will notice benefits immediately with 25W-60 over the traditional heavier single grade aviation oils. Benefits such as improved oil flow at start up, quicker warm up time, cooler operating temperatures and a cleaner operating engine. X/C 25W-60 like the 20W-50 should be used year round, during break-in and on to TBO.
Application and Description
- First approved multiviscosity grade, mineral base, ashless dispersant aviation piston engine oil.
- Contains an ashless dispersant package for cleaner engine operation.
- Use year round for easier start up and quicker flow of oil to engine parts.
- Provides a full bodied oil film strength even under high load conditions, such as take-off and elevated operating temperatures.
- Recommended for break-in. Provides a cleaner and quicker break-in than the traditional all mineral single grade oils.
- X/C 20W-50 is designed for opposed piston engines. 20W-50 grade oil replaces three military viscosity grades 65, 80 and 100 with no sacrifice of performance.
- X/C 25W-60 is designed for radial engines or other piston aviation engines that were originally recommended to operate on a heavier single grade oil. 25W-60 is the only Pratt & Whitney approved multiviscosity oil for the 120 grade.

Aviation Antirust Oil (SAE 20W-50)
Application and Description
- Phillips 66 Antirust oil is used in preserving aircraft engines. Has been used by airframe manufacturers for many years as a "Fly Away Oil" for new or rebuilt aircraft engines expected to sit idle for extended periods.
- Operational hours should not exceed 25.
- May be used as a "break-in" oil if desired. We recommend only 10 hours operational time when used this way.

Aviation Piston Engine Oil, Type M (20W-50)
Application and Description- Petroleum non-additive (straight mineral) oils intended for use in aircraft piston engines where operator prefers continued use of all mineral oil.
- This oil offers improved cold temperature starting, quick lubrication plus a full body oil for high temperature, high load operation.
- Base Oil is of the MIL-L-6082 type and contains a very shear stable viscosity index improver.
- Recommended as the break-in oil for newly overhauled aircraft engines (normally accomplished in 25 to 50 hours of operation.
- Is compatible with all other mineral and ashless dispersant petroleum base oils approved for piston aircraft.

Baltic Oils
Application and DescriptionBaltics are high quality, severely hydrotreated naphthenic pale oils, which have low carbon residues and low pour points. Because of their low pour points, they are particularly suited for low ambient temperature applications. Recommended for use in industrial refrigeration compressors handling ammonia or carbon dioxide. The use of Baltic in this application has been quite extensive both at the present and past throughout the industry. Baltic Oils are treated with Rust and Oxidation inhibitors to provide superior protection for R&O.
Recommended in the ISO 68 viscosity grade as a "smoke oil" for exhibition flying in all kinds of aircraft.
